Hi! I've Been Watching the Political Process on the TeeVee
and i have come to feel thusly:
here's to a system that allows south carolina (north carolina's ugly sister) to thin the proverbial herd of candidates. yeehaw. yawn. ** (that movie, sunshine, was better than i thought it'd be. yo.)
|
warehouse window / river arts district, ashevilleNC need to delve in this place more. yep. **
window 1
window 2 old house windows. denis johnson has always been amazing (well, mostly). read jesus' son for the quick cult fix, but read already dead and angels and maybe stars at noon for some more to chew on. this one is king hell good, though...and the nat book award agrees. yay for books.
| another world less // an echo
lobo, my grandfather's dog, died recently. that dog was his joy. lobo was scared of the slick hall floor and would never go down that way after the first time he tried and predictably skittered and splayed, but when my grandfather was in his deathbed down that hall, in that far room, and he called, lobo went. the old man a wisp of wrung pain and the dog, with the caution of a cat, finally there by the bed at his dangling hand.
regal, lethal...i love a german shepherd.
bye, lobo. ghost unto ghost / sad passage
| some guns
get back. she's got a gun. she's done with it, and you best back on up out the door, mister.
this is the ghost pistol. it's from the american indian musem in dc. only i did stuff to it. now it is ghost pistol. it will make whitey pay. ghost pistol will shoot a ethereal ammo through the ether and ethics, so don't even bother ducking if your heart ain't darn close to pure, sir.
| I'm Over Here Now
yes, i'm south now. way south. a higher elevation, too. i can see the pisgah range when i drive down the mountain to go anywhere. got trees most all around the house...tall ones. like you look out a second floor window into a wall of green--and now some brown, orange and fall foliage coming in. anyway, juggling a lot of projects right now. trying to find some balance in a new life, new place, new space. this is about the most industrially aggressive place around. then again, the lake wouldn't exist if the power plant weren't there. anyway, it's our own little sliver of new jersey ugly. no swimming. no wading. so sorry. and there i was, wanting to stride right into the shallows and spear fish. no matter where you go, they's always a lot of fuckin' rules.
